FOLLOWING the success of Jazz Series Winter, Ballarat Events is now presenting seven outstanding performances with Jazz Series Spring, during October and November and it starts this weekend.<\/p>\n
Two leading ladies of Australian Jazz, Nadira and Juliarna Clark will perform this Friday and Saturday night at two locations.<\/p>\n
Nadira is a fresh face in the Australian jazz scene who brings her diverse individual style of wit and sensitivity.<\/p>\n
She will perform The Great Ladies of Jazz. You\u2019ll be impressed with her unique phrasing and tone, influenced by Billie Holiday and Carmen McRae, a touch of sass influenced by Sarah Vaughan, a heartfelt story-telling ability and captivating stage-presence.<\/p>\n
Expect a fun-filled night full of alltime favourite jazz and show tunes, and a lot of laughter in between songs.<\/p>\n
Accompanying Nadira is Isaac Bart on Double Bass and Michael Panton on Guitar.<\/p>\n
The show is set for Friday, 12 October from 7.30pm to 10pm at Sebastiaans Caf\u00e9 in the Printers Room.<\/p>\n
24 hours later there\u2019s an evening of wonderful Jazz with Juliarna Clark, Mat Jodrell – Trumpet, Steve Sedergreen \u2013 Piano and James Clark Double Bass.<\/p>\n
This will be an evening of scorching torch songs, French Jazz, Brazilian Jazz and Swinging Favourites of the American songbook.<\/p>\n
With a stellar line-up of worldclass musicians (plus that Juliarna\u2019s delightfully witty repartee), you will have a fabulous time. A musically outstanding evening that will linger warmly in your memory for a long time.<\/p>\n
