CELEBRATE the historic 1841 village and vibrant modern community of Buninyong just 15 minutes south of Ballarat at \u2018Springtime in Buninyong\u2019.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, 27 October, Brim Brim Gardens (1859) open from 10am to 4.30pm. There\u2019s also the King of the Mountain Junior Challenge Fun Run on Mount Buninyong at 10am, Spring Fair at the Uniting Church \u2013 10am to 3pm, and an Art Exhibition Opening at Studio 408, Warrenheip Street \u2013 6pm to 9pm.<\/p>\n
On Sunday 28 October, Brim Brim Gardens open from 10am to 4.30pm along with three other local village gardens a five minute walk around the corner in Yuille Street.<\/p>\n
Sunday also sees a Village Spring Market at Buninyong Botanic Gardens, Cornish Street – 9am to 2pm, a Car Boot Sale at Buninyong Primary School Car Park – 9am to 2pm, an Art Exhibition at Studio 408, Warrenheip Street – 10am to 2pm, and a Hansel & Gretel Pantomime in Buninyong Town Hall – 11am and 2pm.<\/p>\n
Brim Brim Gardens in Lal Lal Street – Buninyong<\/p>\n
Open Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October, 10am to 4:.30pm From the time of their initial construction in 1859, the gardens of Brim Brim have been added-to and enhanced by a succession of owners. Much of the current layout has been created since the early 1980s, although there are many remnant trees from earlier generations including cedars, cypress, Bunya pine and Moreton Bay fig.<\/p>\n
Sue and Jeremy, the current owners have built on these historical assets to create an Arts and Crafts garden- style.<\/p>\n
There are scores of standard roses edged with perennials, spring-flowering bulbs and other plants adding much colour to the evergreen garden. Hedges of laurel, viburnum and holly define garden rooms with several dry-stone walls, timber gates and tiered garden beds framing the plantings to create a delightful garden experience.<\/p>\n
