THE Elysium Day Spa Fashions on the Field will be a jewel in the crown of the Ballarat Petstock Pacing Cup when the horses hit the track on Saturday, 19 January.<\/p>\n
Entrants frocking up for the event have the chance to show off their signature style and win some fabulous prizes, including Elysium spa treatments.<\/p>\n
An Elysium Pamper Area will also be on site with Napoleon Perdis products, to provide any complimentary makeup touch-ups ladies may need.<\/p>\n
Ballarat and District Trotting Club\u2019s Belinda Eden said it\u2019s a great event for all ages and two categories will have a winner \u2013 Best Dressed Child and Best Dressed Lady.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe encourage the kids to get involved,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Fifteen ladies and 20 children \u2013 boys and girls – entered last year and Mrs Eden hopes to see that strong attendance maintained on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Competitor, Tatiana Collier, loves the chance to dress up and has been following Fashions on the Field events for years, entering at spring racing carnivals on and off.<\/p>\n
\u201cI like the atmosphere, they\u2019re always fun,\u201d she said. \u201cI look forward to seeing what other people are wearing, I like the creativity behind outfits and getting ideas from other people. It\u2019s an elegant little side thing to do and I enjoy the opportunity to enter and win.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said the involvement of a \u201clovely\u201d local business like Elysium adds to the event\u2019s credibility.<\/p>\n
Gates open at 5pm for the Cup and the Fashions on the Field event will begin at 8pm.<\/p>\n
Women or children interested in competing on the night can register by emailing Mrs Eden at belinda@ballarattrottingclub.com.au.<\/p>\n
Late registrations can also be made in the pamper area.<\/p>\n
Entry is free into the Elysium Day Spa Fashions on the Field, but does not include admission at the gate.<\/p>\n
