{"id":19434,"date":"2019-02-13T09:46:58","date_gmt":"2019-02-12T22:46:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=19434"},"modified":"2019-02-14T11:06:59","modified_gmt":"2019-02-14T00:06:59","slug":"time-for-a-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/time-for-a-change\/","title":{"rendered":"Time for a change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DAYLIGHT savings ends at 2am Sunday, 7 April which is the signal to change smoke detector batteries.<\/p>\n<p>For seniors unable or unwilling to climb a ladder, the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast once again is offering a free service to change the batteries.<\/p>\n<p>Registrations for the service opened Monday, 11 February and close on Saturday, 9 March.<\/p>\n<p>Teams of two from the club will pop by, one to hold the ladder the other to swap the batteries.<\/p>\n<p>The free service allows the teams to replace batteries in two smoke alarms, if more than two need changing the householder will have to provide the extra batteries.<\/p>\n<p>Club members will make the change on the weekend of Saturday, 6 April at either 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm and between 9am and 12pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>To register for assistance please call the office of Ray White Ballarat on 5333 4444.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DAYLIGHT savings ends at 2am Sunday, 7 April which is the signal to change smoke detector batteries.
