GEORGIA Amoore and Laura Taylor are off to Canberra as part of the Vic Country side competing at this week\u2019s Australian Under-20 Championships.<\/p>\n
Played at Basketball Australia\u2019s Centre of Excellence from February 12-17, the tournament will see 30 teams compete in 99 games across six days for the Australian Under-20 & Iver Burge Championships.<\/p>\n
Ballarat Basketball Association director of coaching Brendan Joyce said it was exciting to see the pair get the representative call-up.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to have two ladies selected for the U20 Victorian teams that will play in Australian Championships in Canberra starting today\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Both Amoore and Taylor have been putting in a lot of work at the MARS Minerdome recently preparing for the tournament.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will be\u2026 a valuable learning experience that will hopefully see the players grow in their development from playing against the best players in the country for their age group\u201d Joyce said.<\/p>\n
