PLATE Up Ballarat 2019 officially launched on Monday night at Mercedes Benz Ballarat.<\/p>\n
The second festival will come to life in May, with more than 50 unique experiences spanning 31 days, celebrating Ballarat\u2019s local food and wine, producers and hospitality businesses.<\/p>\n
Director, Kate Davis said Ballarat was the culinary capital of Western Victoria and 80 businesses and 100 producers locally were getting involved in 2019 to promote sustainability and help build a long-term vision for Ballarat.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year, the attendees were so proud. Local people\u2026it was so important to them,\u201d she said. \u201cThere was a huge sense of community pride.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last year\u2019s event saw Plate Up Ballarat take home the New and Emerging Business Award at the Fed Uni Business School, Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards.<\/p>\n
This time round the event is set to be even bigger and better. The 31 days of events include dining experiences, workshops, food truck events and a gala opening.<\/p>\n
