JANELLE Gilmer-Reeves has spent her whole career helping other people feel good and look good.<\/p>\n
For decades, her focus was hairdressing, but in the last 10 months, clothing has come to the fore.<\/p>\n
Ms Gilmer-Reeves is Ballarat\u2019s new representative of Sparkle with Suz, a personal styling business based in Colac, catering to women of all ages, shapes and sizes.<\/p>\n
Stocking affordable pieces from Melbourne\u2019s Trish G Store, Ms Gilmer-Reeves is \u201cempowering women so they feel comfortable and love the skin they\u2019re in.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a unique, personal, one-on-one styling boutique,\u201d she said. \u201cLadies contact me, book a complimentary session and I style them. It\u2019s all very trendy, but there\u2019s also your classics.<\/p>\n
\u201cI put clothes on them that they wouldn\u2019t necessarily try on, to try and get them out of their comfort zone. Anyone can wear any print.\u201d<\/p>\n
Every garment is stocked once over in each size, and the only cost is if a piece is purchased.<\/p>\n
Often clients are surprised by colours or prints that they may not normally experiment with, and having styled young ladies and women over 70, the feedback Ms Gilmer-Reeves has received \u201cfeels wonderful.<\/p>\n
\u201cWomen will put it on and go \u2018wow, I\u2019ve never worn orange before\u2019 or \u2018I didn\u2019t think I could wear orange\u2019 or whatever it happens to be. More than not, they end up purchasing not what they initially came for,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone goes away happy. You can see it in their face. They feel good in themselves and that makes me feel good,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s very empowering for me as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
