THE CFA has extended the fire danger period across the region until 1.00am on Monday, 13 May.<\/p>\n
That means fire restrictions will continuedto be enforced across the City of Ballarat and Golden Plains Shire, as well as Hepburn and Moorabool shires.<\/p>\n
Written permits to conduct burn offs will still need to be obtained and authorities have said they\u2019ll keep continue their \u201czero tolerance policy\u201d towards people responsible for illegal fires.<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce we move out of the fire danger period in a few weeks\u2019 time, residents that wish to conduct burn-offs on their private properties need to follow some basic rules,\u201d said District 15 Operations Manager Brett Boatman.<\/p>\n
