THE Ballarat Business Women group will host a luncheon and market day for professional women next Thursday, 23 May to showcase members\u2019 brands and provide a casual chance to network.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s an opportunity for small and new businesses to get their name out there, and BBW board member, Dannielle James hopes women will find brands that they didn\u2019t previously know about.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a good space\u2026 A supportive environment. It would be good for people just starting out, but also for more established businesses to present to a new and different group of people,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Mrs James, a director of Pipe Pro Directional Drilling, said the market is also a space for professional women to discover more about BBW before they decide to join.<\/p>\n
ANZ\u2019s Heather Carr has enjoyed being a part of the network for 10 years, recently joining the board.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve found it a great social and personal development environment with like-minded women,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The group is expecting 20 businesses to host a stall at the market. It will run between 12pm and 2pm on Thursday, 23 May at the Sporting Globe, corner Lydiard and Mair Streets, Ballarat.<\/p>\n
