NINETY-four-year-old Margaret Wood laid a wreath last Thursday at the Australian Ex-Prisoners of War Memorial in commemoration of D-Day\u2019s 75th anniversary. She was accompanied by Ballarat Air Force Association representatives, Reverend John Furness and Janet Bates. Although Ms Wood was a member of the British Women\u2019s Royal Naval Service, or a \u2018Wren,\u2019 it\u2019s the first opportunity she\u2019s ever had to lay a wreath in memory of her colleagues.
