CITY of Ballarat\u2019s latest round of Community Impact Grants will assist twelve local not-for-profit groups.<\/p>\n
The council\u2019s Community Impact Special Committee has directed $41,896 to a diverse range of beneficiaries recently, in sport, community radio and in-between.<\/p>\n
The Ballarat Deaf Social Club will receive $1399 for remote video conferencing, the Sebastopol Men\u2019s Shed is in line $355 for cooking uniforms to be utilised during their There\u2019s a Chef in There initiative, and Ballarat and District Suicide Prevention Network is getting $3191 to create four pollinator-friendly demonstration garden plots in Delacombe.<\/p>\n
Ballarat Polocrosse Club will source more equipment with their $6000, Lake Wendouree Football Netball Club will purchase chairs for their club rooms with $9091, Ballarat Water Polo Inc is getting $5814 for basic equipment, and the Ballarat Children\u2019s Garden Network have been given $1222 for a marketing project.<\/p>\n
To fund their newsletter, the Committee for Miners Rest has been allocated $8055, volunteer training at Ballarat Community FM Radio is sorted with their $2110, 161 Recce Flt Association Ballarat Branch has received $1114 for their Possum 54 Reunion, and Friends of Learmonth will get $1360 for their free neighbourhood library and book swap initiative.<\/p>\n
Rounding out the list, Ballarat South Senior Citizens have been given $2185 their Seniors Ball.<\/p>\n
Two community grant writing workshops are coming up at the end of the month for groups keen to source financial assistance.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, 31 July, those wanting to learn how to approach writing grant applications can head to the Lucas Community Hub to hone their skills. The first session will be held between 9.30am and 12.30pm, and the second between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
