Ex-Western Bulldog and multiple time VFL premiership player Brett Goodes stared up forward with four opening-half goals to give his side the ascendency for the remainder of the afternoon.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe win is great against a contender in Redan, we worked to a plan and we knew pressure was what was going to win it for us as well as our defensive efforts, so we have been working on that and now we know we can mix it with the best teams,\u201d Goodes said.<\/p>\n
He combined all afternoon up forward with James Keeble and Michael Powell, with the dangerous trio booting 11 of the sides 16 majors, highlighting what was once identified as a weakness in the side\u2019s arsenal is now one of their strengths.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think with our forward line we are pretty potent when we get it in quick and hard, so when we get it in quick with the likes of Jimmy Keeble, Powelly and few of the little whippets down there, that way it doesn\u2019t matter who kicks them and it\u2019s our forward philosophy to I guess kick those easy goals,\u201d Goodes said.<\/p>\n
