Matt Wiltshire takes on\u00a0<\/strong>management and leadership\u00a0<\/strong>role after four-years in\u00a0<\/strong>residential sales.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LEADERSHIP at hockingstuart Ballarat just got stronger following the announcement of residential sales consultant, Matt Wiltshire, as a new partner in the agency.<\/p>\n

The promotion comes just over four years after 27-year-old Mr Wiltshire made the jump from sports administration into real estate.<\/p>\n

He said the decision to accept the offer to become a partner was an \u201ceasy\u201d one.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe easy decision from my point of view was mainly because of the people, it\u2019s the culture the office sets,\u201d he said. \u201cYou come into work every day and you feel like you\u2019re in a positive environment where everyone\u2019s wanting to strive forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the point of view of being a partner it\u2019s exactly what you want to see. You can tell everyone here is in it for the long run.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Wiltshire joins directors Tim Valpied and Tony Douglass and Associate Director Phil Hayward in leading the Sturt Street based real estate agency.<\/p>\n

Healthy leadership change management within hockingstuart Ballarat was at the forefront of the decision, Mr Valpied said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though Matt\u2019s been with the business for a short amount of time we saw the future and we\u2019re really excited about the future in terms of where Tim and I are,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the next generation of leadership coming through, which we think is really important from the perspective of the business.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting thing for us. Having Matt on board as a partner is no question, we\u2019re going to be a better company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Confidence shown in Mr Wiltshire by management is reciprocated.<\/p>\n

The freshly minted partner said he\u2019d become a better professional and undergone personal growth while with hockingstuart Ballarat.<\/p>\n

\u201cTony got me onboard with the brand and I came here because of the people,\u201d he said. \u201cI had a lot of respect for Tony before coming in and as soon as he asked the question it took me 48 hours to make the decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe guidance, from especially from Tim and Tony at the top, has just been phenomenal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been very fortunate in how it\u2019s gone so far and I think under Tim and Tony\u2019s guidance I\u2019ve grown a hell of a lot as a person as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

On his seemingly meteoric rise Mr Wiltshire, said making partner within hockingstuart Ballarat was something he was aiming for but he was surprised at the speed at which he\u2019s achieved the goal.<\/p>\n
