ON Track Foundation and the Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council\u2019s Interkultura Football Tournament have received financial support from the Bert Wilson Trust.<\/p>\n

BRMC Chairman, Chez Dichiera and On Track Foundation President, Craig Schepis met with trustees, Andrew Byrne, Helen Coombes and Michael Kearney on Tuesday morning for the handover.<\/p>\n

Mr Schepis said two arms of On Track will benefit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re currently putting a brand-new kitchen into another Soup Bus so we can get out to two destinations, and we\u2019ve got the scholarship fund, putting children through secondary education,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur main target area is children coming through the Soup Bus service. We then fund that child from Year 7 to Year 12.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballarat City Football Club have partnered with BRMC, delivering Interkultura.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe aim is to bring together young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds that don\u2019t have an opportunity to play soccer, so we\u2019ve organised a tournament for the 18th<\/sup> and 19th<\/sup> of October,\u201d Mr Dichiera said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCraig Foster is a patron of the event and he\u2019s going to talk about sport and human rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

Electrical Contractor, Bert Wilson died in 2014, but had set up a Discretionary Charitable Trust.<\/p>\n

Under the terms of his will, this pool of funds would financially support local charitable organisations, and so far, $100,000 has been distributed back into the community.<\/p>\n
