{"id":64819,"date":"2019-10-31T06:01:26","date_gmt":"2019-10-30T19:01:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=64819"},"modified":"2019-10-30T12:52:40","modified_gmt":"2019-10-30T01:52:40","slug":"showing-glowing-rocking-and-rolling-at-springfest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/showing-glowing-rocking-and-rolling-at-springfest\/","title":{"rendered":"Showing, glowing, rocking and rolling at SpringFest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SPRINGFEST\u2019S annual Show-n-Glow will see old and new cars sparkle in the sunshine at Lake Wendouree.<\/p>\n<p>Based at the South Gardens and presented by Peter Stevens MG, Show-n-Glow is open by gold coin donation to anyone interested in showing off their treasured car, whether it be classic or brand new.<\/p>\n<p>Five trophies will be awarded throughout the day by Peter Stevens MG, SpringFest\u2019s ambassadors, the Rotary Club of Ballarat and the Ballarat Road Rodders.<\/p>\n<p>With stalls, kids\u2019 activities and a dancefloor on site, live rock and roll band MissBehavin\u2019 will bring a rockabilly feel and get crowds dancing.<\/p>\n<p>At 1pm, all vehicles can join the Grand Parade around Lake Wendouree.<\/p>\n<p>Ballarat Road Rodders are celebrating their 49th year, and President, Bayden Roberts said it\u2019s \u201cawesome\u201d to help out at SpringFest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe get to show the community our passion in automobiles, they get to come along, have a look and enjoy what we do as well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Peter Stevens Motorworld, Matthew Newey said it\u2019s great to be involved in the significant Ballarat event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been around for 40-plus years. We are part of the community, it\u2019s important that we\u2019re represented well and that we have a good reputation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year we had a significant turnout of hot rods and classic cars, it was a great day, and this year it will be a great variety of classic Australian cars for the general public to come and see, as well as some of our MG vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>SpringFest Ballarat, presented by Optus, is project of the Rotary Club of Ballarat. The huge event is set for Sunday, 24 November.
