{"id":65522,"date":"2019-11-21T08:31:39","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T21:31:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=65522"},"modified":"2019-11-21T08:31:39","modified_gmt":"2019-11-20T21:31:39","slug":"the-tools-to-survive-springfest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/the-tools-to-survive-springfest\/","title":{"rendered":"The tools to survive SpringFest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WITH ideal Sunny Spring weather forecast for SpringFest, organisers are expecting a huge turnout of marketgoers, enjoying the liveliness and fun of Lake Wendouree.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-65523\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2019\/11\/Jules-Zass-with-big-gun-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>That busyness, however, can bring a need for preparedness and SpringFest Director, Robert Glass is asking people to plan ahead.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2019\/11\/SpringFest-map-01.pdf\">DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THE SPRINGFEST MAP HERE!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019ll be plenty of food available and a lot of other activities, but we\u2019re suggesting to people that they get here early to park,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Parking will be available at the North Gardens Reserve, but Victoria Park is another alternative where people can leave their cars and jump on a park-and-ride shuttle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe inside lane of Wendouree Parade will be closed for the whole day for emergency access and you\u2019ll only be able to drive around the lake in a clockwise direction,\u201d Mr Glass said.<\/p>\n<p>Encouraging marketgoers to be sun-smart and wear comfortable walking shoes to survive the event from 10am to 4pm, Mr Glass said people should make the most of information and complimentary transport supplied.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-65520\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2019\/11\/SpringfestFalconAerial-4-of-7-300x170.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" \/>\u201cActivities are all advertised on the online pages we\u2019ve got, and the centre bits and maps are in the paper, so people should use those. That\u2019s where most of the details are,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is the free bus circulating around, so if they get to a point where they\u2019re finding it difficult to keep going, or they\u2019ve misjudged their time, they can get on that free bus which will be running from 11.30am in the morning, through to about 4.45pm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There will be four bus stops around the lake which will be exclusively used by the SpringFest shuttle.
