Josh<\/a> and Alanna Jolly are 13 and 17 years old and both raced at the State Titles. Josh received the Keith Williams Medal for the second year running as the rider with the most points in the 13 Boys division.<\/p>\nAlanna received a 2 Victorian plate, now ranked second in the 17 to 24-year-old Women\u2019s category. She said it was great to race against a larger, challenging group of riders at a bigger venue.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t think I was going to do as well as I did. I was close to getting first, most races, and first around most of the track. It was really exciting,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe track was smooth and there were a lot of people around. The atmosphere was good.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rush President, Rob Pompe \u201ccouldn\u2019t be prouder of the club\u201d and its trajectory. He said Rush\u2019s results were \u201cabsolutely magnificent.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwo of our female riders, Johanna Jephcott and Sienna Richmond got 1V, ranked first in Victoria in their age groups, and Shallan Pompe got 2V, second in Victoria, so those kids have come up two or three positions from last year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cReally good, podium finishes, and the guys that hadn\u2019t done it before got a V plate, so as a club, it was an awesome effort and turnout. It shows the dedication, hard work and training they\u2019ve put in to get where they are.<\/p>\n
