IT\u2019S been a good year for trophies at Kryal Castle with the attraction picking up a silver gong at the recent RACV Tourism Awards in the Tourist Attractions category.<\/p>\n
The nod comes on top of recognition received at this year\u2019s Federation Business School Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Award for Events and Attractions.<\/p>\n
\u201c2019 has been another big year for Kryal Castle, with the opening of our school camp facilities, a plethora of major events, plus new themed programs for families each school holidays, and we\u2019re thrilled to top the year off with recognition at these significant industry awards,\u201d said Kryal Castle general manager, Melissa Dimond.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot surprisingly, we find adults are mesmerised by the magic of the Castle just as much as the kids. And, one thing\u2019s for certain, there\u2019s always a new activity you\u2019re yet to do at the Castle.\u201d<\/p>\n
RACV Victorian Tourism Awards have been running for 35 years and aim to highlight the best operators across 31 categories.<\/p>\n
Other regional honourees included The Provincial Hotel, which picked up a silver in the New Tourism Business category and Redbank Alpacas Ballarat, who were finalists in Adventure Tourism.<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce again, we have seen fine examples of tourism operators putting the visitor at the centre of everything they do, which strengthens Victoria\u2019s position as a leading global destination,\u201d said Visit Victoria CEO Peter Bingeman.<\/p>\n
Kryal Castle\u2019s award comes on the back of the announcement that the venue will be extending operating hours over summer.<\/p>\n
