It’S not long now until the community unites for the refreshed Ballarat Carols by Candlelight<\/a>, interpreted by Auslan Stage Left<\/a> signers and presented by Harcourts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A chance to catch a glimpse of the bearded man in red, for young and old to meet and enjoy the festive spirit together, musical theatre stars including Zoy Frangos, Elisa Colla, Brent Trotter, Luke Tonkin and Brittany Harbour, and pop artist, Chelsea Donoghue will take to the stage.<\/p>\n

Recently checking out the vocal line-up and broader program, newly appointed Carols host<\/a>, Glenn Ridge said it will be a strong night of entertainment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to sharing this experience with Ballarat,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was great to be invited to come back to my old stomping grounds in Ballarat, especially with a number of former BTV6 people working on the Carols.\u201d<\/p>\n

But 3BA Christmas Appeal\u2019s Peter Caligari<\/a>, also the evening\u2019s ambassador, is reminding the city that the \u201coutstanding\u201d event\u2019s joy will carry far beyond the City Oval and the evening of Sunday, 22 December.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the presentation this year, in the final two or three days before Christmas, it\u2019s another opportunity for people attending the Carols to donate to the annual 3BA Christmas Appeal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn event such as this provides funding for the many families who find, at the last minute before Christmas, that they are in desperate circumstances and they do need assistance.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave a great night and also take the opportunity to donate to the appeal. There will be collectors at the entry points, so if you can drop a few coins or even a spare note or two, all will be greatly appreciated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballarat Carols by Candlelight has been a \u201cwonderful\u201d supporter of the appeal for many years previously, not only in the period where they were presented by 3BA.<\/p>\n

Mr Caligari said simply attending the Carols this year is a way to give thanks to the new and energetic Ballarat Carols by Candlelight committee, led by President, Matt Hustwaite.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those attending on Sunday night, it\u2019s another opportunity for those people to show their appreciation of the wonderful work they\u2019ve put into this particular night.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll be a sensational night of entertainment and it\u2019s a wonderful night for Ballarat people, so it\u2019s got a dual purpose,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The McCafe Kids Carnival<\/a> from 4pm, before performances begin at 7pm, will be a treat for children as families find their perfect spot on the grass.<\/p>\n

Performers like The Little Brass Band, Sweet Monas Choir, Ballarat Specialist School, Kryal Castle, and Team Dream will also entertain crowds in the lead-up to the main show.<\/p>\n
