Having shared the gallery\u2019s significant works and historical information over many years, with many more people, she said she\u2019ll forever have a love of the arts and the gallery.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve absolutely adored it. I\u2019ve never lost that passion and enthusiasm for the wonderful collection,\u201d Mrs Hiscock said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love the connection with people, and it\u2019s lovely to be able to get what people feel about works. There\u2019s no right or wrong, it\u2019s how people interpret it.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople appreciate it. They do say they\u2019d never have picked up on some things unless they\u2019d gone around with one of we guides, and they\u2019re vitally interested about the stories and history.\u201d<\/p>\n
The gallery may have changed over the years, but Mrs Hiscock is thankful to all staff and her fellow guides for their expertise and support.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe friendship part of guiding is always so important. The guides that I began with still remain wonderful friends,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery director has brought strength. With Louise, she\u2019s looking at the hanging in a completely different way and it\u2019s wonderful, putting us all on our toes.\u201d<\/p>\n
