{"id":67070,"date":"2020-02-12T05:50:14","date_gmt":"2020-02-11T18:50:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=67070"},"modified":"2020-02-11T17:36:32","modified_gmt":"2020-02-11T06:36:32","slug":"inspiring-change-for-family-homes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/inspiring-change-for-family-homes\/","title":{"rendered":"Inspiring change for family homes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HOMEMAKERS of Golden Plains Shire could find the energising style advice they need at the Bannockburn Library.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, 19 February from 6.30pm, interior designer Bronnie Masefau will be giving tips and suggestions to help people edit a room, find their personal style and what works for their family.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-67072\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2020\/02\/Book-Cover-The-Meaning-of-Home-A-Place-to-Belong-300x285.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"285\" \/>An author of five books including, <em>The Meaning of Home: A Place to Belong<\/em>, Mrs Masefau is a champion of three-monthly clean outs, and will be bringing examples of projects in their \u201cbefore and after\u201d states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all learn in different ways. Many actually receive more of the messages when we show them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe talk about storage and go through the psychology&#8230; First thing we need to do is ask, do we need what\u2019s in the cupboard?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe styling of it is a bit of a band aid. It\u2019s something you don\u2019t really enjoy unless you get to the root of the problem. It\u2019s quite deep.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Masefau said when people know who they really are, researching, looking, purchasing and styling at home is easier.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s so much more fulfilling than doing everything on impulse or the latest trend. Things don\u2019t all blend and people fall into a guilt pattern, throwing more money at it to make it look better.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTake time to establish what colours work great with us and our family, what brings us joy, how we run our family, and keep addressing that.
