IN the first feature match in Round two of Volleyball Ballarat\u2019s mixed social comp, defending champions Phantoms regained their Skipper Ben Hassell.<\/p>\n

They also made use of the open transfer window by recalling Henry Murnane back from 7 Deadly Sins after a week on loan.<\/p>\n

In a very high standard game, Phantoms needed all of the additional fire power their two State League players could provide to eventually defeat last week\u2019s winning debutantes 2 sets to 1.<\/p>\n

The other match of the round saw perennial finalists Bengali take on Nemesis with both teams looking to kick start their season after first round loses.<\/p>\n

Despite the efforts of Nemesis veteran Vinnie Braybrook Bengali were far too strong, going from strength to strength in each set for a comfortable 3-0 victory.<\/p>\n

In the remaining matches, 7 Deadly Sins defeated VB Gold 3-0, BCC Baboons accounted for Slammers 3-0 and Buffaloes recovered from a set down to beat White Knights 2-1.<\/p>\n
