{"id":67582,"date":"2020-03-07T12:50:06","date_gmt":"2020-03-07T01:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=67582"},"modified":"2020-03-07T12:50:06","modified_gmt":"2020-03-07T01:50:06","slug":"pampered-perfection-women-in-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/living\/pampered-perfection-women-in-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Pampered perfection &#8211; Women in Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>At Ballarat\u2019s Sanctuary Day Spa you can relax, unwind and enjoy the luxurious therapies and treatments on offer in this award-winning business.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2019 was the year Ballarat\u2019s Sanctuary Day Spa cemented its place on the world map for luxury spas when it was awarded Australia\u2019s Best Luxury Spa at the World Luxury Spa Awards in St Petersburg, Russia.<\/p>\n<p>For spa owner Sarah Emmanuel, it was her greatest professional achievement in a 19-year career in the spa and beauty industry, and the icing on the cake after successfully rebranding and moving the business into a brand new facility only 14 months earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to setting up home in Ballarat, Sarah worked as a professional spa therapist both internationally and within destination hotels and resorts around Australia.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_67584\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-67584\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-67584\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2020\/03\/AE96DDCE-E9F4-452E-9B46-405E63B84AE9-200x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-67584\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">There\u2019s a wide range of offering available including massage and body therapy, facial therapy, essential beauty, sheared spa therapies and signature spa journeys.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During this time, she had seen the spa and wellness industries grow rapidly. She drew from her experiences and vast knowledge throughout the planning and development of the new spa facility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe planning process started in about 2014, whilst heavily pregnant,\u201d Sarah said. \u201cIt was my dream to create something a little bit special and unique for Ballarat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrior to our opening in May 2018, clients had to travel a little bit further to experience a spa of this calibre. We\u2019ve now made wellness extremely accessible for Ballarat locals, as well as giving people from out of town another reason to visit Ballarat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ballarat\u2019s Sanctuary Day Spa is about more than just the treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe the spa experience is something that starts from the moment you turn off Main Road and navigate the beautiful gardens before entering the spa, changing into a robe and leaving your mobile phone in your locker, to the very end of the treatment when you retreat into the beautiful lounge and relax with a herbal tea and other refreshments,\u201d Sarah said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is not uncommon for people to stay two to three hours when their actual treatment may have only been an hour in duration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful that we can provide that escape from life&#8217;s stresses for clients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the past decade, Ballarat\u2019s Sanctuary Day Spa has grown from three staff to 11 and with most days booked to capacity, it\u2019s no surprise we hear Sarah is already looking to expand!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Ballarat\u2019s Sanctuary Day Spa you can relax, unwind and enjoy the luxurious therapies and treatments on offer in this award-winning business. &nbsp;
