REGULAR programming is closed until further notice at community radio station, Voice FM, now running an automated service.<\/p>\n
Physical doors are closed to volunteers and the public at their Barkly Square studios, but chairman Ron Egeberg said Voice will continue to connect, just differently.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe realise that most people in Ballarat are now self-isolating and that radio is a personal way to engage making a difference to listeners who have limited contact with others or are on their own,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur aim is to focus on playing upbeat music from a huge range of genres and eras, as well as relevant news and local programming from our volunteers who are able to record their programs at home.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is important that we help each other out in any way we can. We are also extending an offer to any business that wishes to get a message to the community in exchange for a donation, no matter how big or small,\u201d Mr Egeberg said.<\/p>\n
