{"id":68230,"date":"2020-04-17T04:56:17","date_gmt":"2020-04-16T17:56:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=68230"},"modified":"2020-04-13T11:07:43","modified_gmt":"2020-04-13T00:07:43","slug":"socially-sharing-business-ideas-and-expertise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/socially-sharing-business-ideas-and-expertise\/","title":{"rendered":"Socially sharing business ideas and expertise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WHEN Dorothy Krajewski discovered the professional women in her networks wanted to connect in an informal space, Ballarat Business and Coffee was born.<\/p>\n<p>An environment for women who own a business to meet and chat over a cuppa, the group gets together once a month, and is currently transitioning to online video hangouts.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Krajewski said the community is welcoming and informal, where people in diverse areas of commerce can personally grow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAttendance at each meeting varies, but it\u2019s good because you never know who you will meet or what you will learn from each other,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe relationships I\u2019ve made have been really valuable for me and for the women in the group. We\u2019ve had collaborations emerge as a result.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ballarat Business and Coffee not only encourages socially supportive teamwork, it\u2019s a safe space to throw around ideas, and gain advice and information from those who face similar challenges day-to-day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we\u2019re having an issue, we\u2019ll put it out there. People bring questions to the group all the time and ask what the others love or what they hate,\u201d Ms Krajewski said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all have such different experiences and backgrounds. We\u2019re not all thinking the same things, so it\u2019s been great to get different ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three women enjoyed the first digital meeting last week, which was successful and \u201cintimate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a single mum and I only have teenagers to speak to during the day, so it was great to see some adult faces and have an adult conversation,\u201d Ms Krajewski laughed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a burden with what\u2019s going on&#8230; Not only are women in primary carer situations, most of the time, they have to work and supervise their children\u2019s online learning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we don\u2019t reach out to each other, keep that personal contact, and talk about what\u2019s going on, we can end up feeling isolated, alone and depressed, which isn\u2019t good for anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/ballaratbusinessandcoffee.com.au\"><strong>ballaratbusinessandcoffee.com.au<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHEN Dorothy Krajewski discovered the professional women in her networks wanted to connect in an informal space, Ballarat Business and Coffee was born.
