ALFREDTON Preschool has shown their support for the city\u2019s frontline workers, creating colourful chalk drawings on the concrete outside and within their learning space.<\/p>\n
The centre was inspired by Member for Western Victoria, Stuart Grimley\u2019s #FrontlineChalkSupport <\/strong>campaign, and educators have encouraged children to show their thanks, through illustrations, to professionals in emergency services, the medical sector, and beyond.<\/p>\n
Alfredton Preschool team leader, Kirsty Masinskas said her staff have been talking to the kids about people in the community working to keep them safe, to help the sick, and put food on the shelves, while they\u2019ve been at home.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese chalk murals are a simple, but meaningful way our children and our preschool can say thanks to our local supermarket workers, teachers, doctors, nurses, police and emergency services for the important work they do every day,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur children have been drawing elaborate hearts and rainbows, with parents adding words of thanks in multi-coloured chalk.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe told all our local residents about what we were doing, and we were thrilled when they offered their own driveways and paths for our children\u2019s artworks.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
