DANCE schools have got clarification on when they can reopen their studios.<\/p>\n
From 22 June each indoor physical recreation space can accommodate 20 people and that includes the schools.<\/p>\n
If a group class consists of students exclusively under 18, numbers are not limited, but only ten adults can be in a group class together.<\/p>\n
Having lobbied the State government and local MPs, Curtain Call Performing Arts Studios\u2019 Narelle Tolliday said this is great news for those mostly teaching children and teens.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe don\u2019t need to worry about any distancing rules, and if somebody had a studio that couldn\u2019t fit 20 in with distancing, then that\u2019s not a problem,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re set to open for term three, all systems go. Our hard work, writing letters, and studios pulling together across Victoria has opened the eyes of government to realise who we are and what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mrs Tolliday\u2019s sector is now calling for recreation restrictions to be eased for adults, so all dancers can return as normal.<\/p>\n
