{"id":70106,"date":"2020-07-28T04:55:56","date_gmt":"2020-07-27T18:55:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=70106"},"modified":"2020-07-22T20:47:46","modified_gmt":"2020-07-22T10:47:46","slug":"students-water-posters-will-make-artistic-splash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/students-water-posters-will-make-artistic-splash\/","title":{"rendered":"Students\u2019 water posters will make artistic splash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IN conjunction with the Australian Water Association, Central Highlands Water is running their annual poster competition in celebration of National Water Week, coming up in October.<\/p>\n<p>Primary aged children are encouraged to create a poster inspired by the theme of <em>Reimagining our Water Future<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>CHW asks them to think about water as a part of their life, how it is important to them, how they use it, how they can protect it, use it wisely and sustainably.<\/p>\n<p>CHW chair, Jeremy Johnson said it\u2019s crucial that the next generation gain an early understanding of water\u2019s role in our built and natural environments, and look ahead.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_70108\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-70108\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-70108\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2020\/07\/Harry-grade-3-and-4-runner-up-Skipton-PS-2019-300x212.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"212\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-70108\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Skipton Primary School student, Harry was part of the the grade 3 and 4 entrant pool last year. Image: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIt is so important for young people to imagine the future of the water they use in their daily lives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are already finding innovative ways to live sustainably and use water efficiently. Their ideas will shape the future of our valuable water resources.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Any mediums can be used, whether digital or physical. Each poster should be developed individually, not in a group, and A3 in size.
