WITH twenty-six members, BNI Eureka is Ballarat\u2019s latest business networking group, having launched seven weeks ago.<\/p>\n
President, Kay Jackson said the Business Networking International chapter is about \u201cgivers gain,\u201d for local member enterprises needing support more than ever.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt wasn\u2019t difficult to launch the new chapter. People still need businesses\u2019 services during the pandemic, and others are taking the opportunity now to work on their business, so when things lift, they\u2019re ready to go,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I refer business to others in the network, and other businesses and their clients are serviced by my business, then they\u2019re going to want to do that for me in return.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re refusing to get caught up in the downside of COVID and refusing to have a recession. Our clients still need us, or the other professionals in the group, and I know the network will look after them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Jackson said BNI Eureka gives professionals an opportunity to check-in weekly, workshop ideas and develop friendships. It\u2019s a \u201cnormal in a world of chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom a business owner\u2019s mental health perspective, we can jump on every week, I can tell people about the clients I\u2019d like referred to me, and see what I can do to help other businesses,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen times are tough, like they are now, you really are helping each other through. You become more than work colleagues, it\u2019s an empowering feeling, and it\u2019s getting on with business.\u201d<\/p>\n
BNI Eureka has one representative from each area of business and is seeking a solicitor, more allied health professionals, a builder and removalist.<\/p>\n
