{"id":72427,"date":"2020-11-07T04:55:13","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T18:55:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=72427"},"modified":"2020-11-07T06:58:33","modified_gmt":"2020-11-06T20:58:33","slug":"gordon-juices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/gordon-juices\/","title":{"rendered":"Family squeezes a fresh OJ experience"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BORN from ideas written on brown paper on the loungeroom floor, Gordon Juices is a dream realised for the Mirarchi family.<\/p>\n<p>A thriving, purpose-built orange juice trailer based at Windmill Drive, Lake Wendouree, the business has been running for three weeks, serving fresh OJ which is squeezed in front of customers.<\/p>\n<p>Owner-operator, Roy Mirarchi said he wants to provide an alternative refreshment experience for those visiting the Lake and Gardens precinct.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of going for coffees and cakes, families, runners and joggers and come and grab an orange juice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love the product because it\u2019s full of vitamin C and it\u2019s great for you, especially when it comes to winter colds and flus, and your skin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKids can also watch the oranges go down into the machine to be freshly squeezed, which they love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Mirarchi said positive feedback had been overwhelming, and Gordon Juices is already building a strong rapport with locals<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re enjoying the contact with the people, it\u2019s been quite humbling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the start, the parents were bringing kids over, but now it\u2019s the kids that are starting to drag the parents and grandparents over,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have young, old and middle-aged clientele. We tried to aim it at the kids with our pricing, starting with a small cup, but now we\u2019ve got families and locals coming back for half-lite and litre take-home bottles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is scope for Gordon Juices to travel around, with another City of Ballarat permit for Victoria Park, but at the moment Mr Mirarchi is happy with his \u201cfantastic\u201d location beside the iconic Adventure Playground.<\/p>\n<p>The enterprise is named after the township of Gordon and has been a project for Mr Mirarchi, his wife and three sons to undertake together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe kids did the trailer measurements, and the signage was chosen by my wife and the kids,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/GordonJuices\"><strong>facebook.com\/GordonJuices<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BORN from ideas written on brown paper on the loungeroom floor, Gordon Juices is a dream realised for the Mirarchi family.
