SATURDAY saw a constant wind from the south south-east at twenty-eight to thirty-four kilometres an hour that tested everybody and made for great sailing.<\/p>\n
The juniors experienced some hard sailing with a few capsizes but the racing at times was exhilarating for the skippers as well a great spectacle for those on shore.<\/p>\n
As boats rounded the first mark were shielded by the bay and the Yacht Club building but coming out of protection they went away at great speed with the lasers and the miscellaneous craft plaining out of the water.<\/p>\n
Although there were some DNFs and a broken mast in the juniors all tried hard, Adam Scivilla won the Club laser 4.7 out, and did a great job by taking out race 9. Last week\u2019s winner Lachlan Bellete came in second in race 9 and first in race 10.<\/p>\n
