GOLDEN Plains annual festive Twilight Market will return to the Bannockburn Heart on Thursday, 17 December.<\/p>\n
In what is becoming a Christmas tradition, the event is back for a fourth year and features many of the same great stall holders as the regular Golden Plains Farmers\u2019 Market, and then some.<\/p>\n
Also on offer is live music and entrainment, as well as food and drink options, all in a COVID-safe setting.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiven how tough this year has been for so many, it terrific to have the Golden Plains Twilight Market return for another year,\u201d said mayor Cr Helena Kirby.<\/p>\n
With over 30 stall holders locked in so far, and selling everything from farmgate fresh produce to gift ideas and handicrafts, there\u2019ll be something for everyone.<\/p>\n
Confirmed vendors include fresh seafood and fish and chips food truck Mr. Squidgy from Deeral, Inverleigh\u2019s boutique olive grower Leighgrove Olives, sweet treat maker Mini Bakes and Cakes from Bannockburn and Maude based organic egg farm Wes Eggs.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy doing your Christmas shopping at the market, you\u2019re not only treating yourself to some of our Shire\u2019s best produce and goods, you\u2019re also supporting these businesses and local jobs after a difficult year,\u201d Ms Kirby said.<\/p>\n
As part of the COVID-safe planning for the event attendees will be required to register via QR code, observe 1.5-meter distancing guidelines, while hand sanitizer will be provided, and cashless payments are preferred.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith a number of different COVID-safe measures in place, this year\u2019s market will be a little different, but you will still be able to stock up on farm-fresh produce for your Christmas meals and shop for those last-minute gifts, as well as enjoy the live music and great food and beverages,\u201d Cr Kirby said.<\/p>\n
The Golden Plains Twilght Market will run from 4pm to 9pm on Thursday, 17 December at the Bannockburn Heart on Byron Street.<\/p>\n
