At Meredith Primary School, principal Steven Trotter predicts he will have between 65 and 70 pupils. In 2020, he had 70 enrolments, and 69 in 2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re pretty stable. We have 10 preps, with a few more potentially coming. We are top-heavy, so these numbers in the early years balance us out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2019 we had 17 enrolments throughout the year, and in different year levels, which we didn\u2019t get last year due to children learning remotely.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Dyer said multiple families in her school\u2019s zone have chosen to educate their primary-aged children away from Linton.<\/p>\n
She encourages people to \u201cgive us a go,\u201d especially now schools can safely facilitate tours.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have just had a $280,000 upgrade to make us bushfire safe, and we\u2019re getting a further $1.9 million for upgraded facilities and equipment.<\/p>\n
\u201cCome and have a chat, see what we can offer, or how we could offer it in the future,\u201d Ms Dyer said.<\/p>\n
Mr Trotter also invites families to visit.<\/p>\n
\u201cSee if it\u2019s the school for you. It might not be, but we\u2019re pretty proud to show it off,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m very much for Meredith Primary School being a place that supports our Meredith community, and my goal is that every primary-aged child in Meredith comes to our school.<\/p>\n
