{"id":73436,"date":"2021-01-13T04:54:54","date_gmt":"2021-01-12T17:54:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=73436"},"modified":"2021-01-13T14:07:52","modified_gmt":"2021-01-13T03:07:52","slug":"kryal-castle-feast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/kryal-castle-feast\/","title":{"rendered":"Feast like royalty at Kryal Castle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PARTY like it\u2019s 1399 at Kryal Castle over the next couple of weeks by sitting down to enjoy a medieval feast.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, 16 and Friday, 22 January, you\u2019re invited to enjoy a two-course meal and live show as part of the attraction&#8217;s summer events.<\/p>\n<p>Kryal Castle general manager Melissa Dimond said the meal is accompanied by exciting and funny entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn between courses, visitors will pop outside to see a joust, and there\u2019s a pantomime in the abbey, <em>The Bravest Brave That Ever Braved<\/em>, which is always tongue-in-cheek and a bit of a giggle,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re open 2pm to 8pm, so Ballarat locals who are looking for something different to do can book in to come and have dinner while the park is open, or visitors can come to the feast while they\u2019re staying in-house.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve scheduled the feast around our programs so people won\u2019t miss out on anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Castle\u2019s summer school holiday activities, familiar personalities are roaming the grounds for families to meet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve thrown all our favourite characters into the program, with Alice in Wonderland and all her friends, the Queen of Hearts, Robin Hood, our famous knights and Rapunzel,\u201d Ms Dimond said.<\/p>\n<p>She encourages Ballarat residents to consider coming along to support the attraction, following a challenging year of closure due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen is the last time you visited Kryal Castle? Maybe you haven\u2019t been since it opened in the 70s, or since we reopened in the last few years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve thrown everything at this program.
