On Saturday, Currie\u2019s daughter Jordan joined her dad’s rink as his lead and played an excellent game that contributed to the successful outcome in their win over Ballarat’s Paul Slater\u2019s foursome.<\/p>\n
The week’s big winner for Invermay was Peter Shillington’s rink of Bill Gull, David Carlyle and Barry Wright that came home with a 31 shot victory over Ballarat’s Brett Forrest.<\/p>\n
“Jarryd Evans rink has put in a strong consistent performance for the whole season winning all of their pennant games played so far this season,\u201d Currie said.<\/p>\n
The jubilation enjoyed at home was somewhat tempered by a loss on the road from the club’s Division 6 side.<\/p>\n
They had travelled to Sebastopol and lost leaving the squad with only one win for the season so far and second last on the ladder.<\/p>\n
Off the green Invermay is working on attracting new bowlers by promoting the safe and family friendly culture that the club shares along with the other groups using the community centre.<\/p>\n
