On a day of close scores in Division 2, the rink of Jayson Frawley, Michael Phyland, Garry Checkley and John Maher gave Bungaree its only success, overcoming the always vocal Paul Currie, while Invermay’s other rinks of Peter Shillington, Jarryd Evans and Geoffrey Fraser managed to gain the required shots up to secure the victory for the visitors.<\/p>\n
Invermay\u2019s win lifted the side into third position on the ladder, overtaking BMS who moved down to fourth after losing to Sebastopol.<\/p>\n
Bungaree’s Division 5 side had a 15-shot win over Creswick and sit seventh on the ladder with a three and nine record. The rinks of Graeme Diamond-Keith and John Moran got the job done for the home side while Crewick’s Bernie O’Malley and Phillip Zelley rinks also recorded wins.<\/p>\n
In Division 8, Bungaree’s newest side mastered the heavier greens at Ballarat East after Friday\u2019s rain and recorded their seventh win, earning second position on the ladder with the likelihood of playing finals in March.<\/p>\n
Bungaree has come a long way since starting up in 2014, when players used the greens at Ballarat before moving onto their new synthetic surface at home a couple of years later.<\/p>\n
In that time the club’s teams have progressed through the BDBD divisions having won premierships and earning promotions.<\/p>\n
Over that time club coach John Maher, together with Jayson Frawley and John Wade, have helped players to master the game and contribute to Bungaree\u2019s ongoing success.<\/p>\n
