THE community of Linton and District Men\u2019s Shed expects to open their new purpose-built facility for action by mid-April.<\/p>\n

But before the team moves into the space, president Michael Hough said it\u2019s set to be energised by one of their neighbouring groups.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur windows and doors will soon be installed, and we\u2019ll also be getting power put on in the shed with the support of Stockyard Hill Wind Farm,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are generously and enthusiastically donating solar power for us.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey will be providing the whole of the solar system, and it will be a system that enables us to connect to 240-volts in case we need to do any welding work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goldwind, via the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm, is providing the panels and supporting the members of the grassroots group through the energy group\u2019s Community Investment Program.<\/p>\n

This initiative has seen the Wind Farm\u2019s team commit near-on $1 million to local projects since construction commenced in Stockyard Hill in 2018.<\/p>\n

They will invest a further $300,000 per annum over the next 25 years into the nearby community.<\/p>\n
