{"id":75510,"date":"2021-05-12T04:55:07","date_gmt":"2021-05-11T18:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=75510"},"modified":"2021-05-19T17:29:10","modified_gmt":"2021-05-19T07:29:10","slug":"no-fight-tights-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/no-fight-tights-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"No Fight Tights get legs to run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BALLARAT-born clothing brand No Fight Tights will launch online sales later this month, offering a more practical, comfy alternative to traditional children\u2019s school tights.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by her own daughter who dreaded heading off to learn and play in uncomfortable tights each day, NFT director and early childhood educator Corinna Preston has designed a pair in four colours that are uniform compliant, aren\u2019t itchy or saggy, or at risk of running.<\/p>\n<p>The NFTs have a Lycra-elastane stretch top, like bike shorts, a traditional cotton elastane leg, and include a thicker 40-millimetre \u201cnon-dig\u201d waistband.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re so excited to announce that this revolutionary new product will be available to females in the coming weeks, and it all started here in Ballarat,\u201d Ms Preston said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTights haven\u2019t changed for generations&#8230; we were setting girls up for failure. It\u2019s time for change. My goal is for them to feel at ease going to school, with confidence, comfort, and their self-esteem intact.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75513\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75513\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-75513\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2021\/05\/IMG_6773-300x208.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"208\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75513\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The NFT online store will initially offer children\u2019s sizes, with larger teen and women\u2019s products expected later in the year. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m nervous, because I\u2019ve always worked in early childhood, so this is a new venture, but mostly I\u2019m excited and relieved to get to this point after all our hard work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms Preston has already received feedback from other educators who \u201ccan\u2019t wait\u201d to see their students wearing the product.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA prep teacher from my daughter\u2019s school said children have so many accidents because the uniform layering is an issue for them, or they\u2019ve constantly got their tights dragging down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew the teenagers would love them, but now I know schoolteachers think it will be huge for the little kids as well, making life easier for them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTights are compulsory for students and they don\u2019t have a choice about wearing them or not, so I feel really happy that I can help them with a better option.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There will be a No Fight Tights launch party at Aunty Jacks brewpub on Friday, 14 May at 6.30pm for Ms Preston\u2019s family, friends, supporters, and design development partners to celebrate the realised product.<\/p>\n<p>The tights will then be available via the <strong>nofighttights.com.au<\/strong> online store on Wednesday, 19 May.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Preston is perfecting the teen and women\u2019s products so more women and girls can feel comfortable at school, work, or in their casual attire year-round.<\/p>\n<p>The NFT team hopes to have those products available online later in 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BALLARAT-born clothing brand No Fight Tights will launch online sales later this month, offering a more practical, comfy alternative to traditional children\u2019s school tights.
