Well, that\u2019s the reality for Mick and Christine Storer, who have seen the Dracula\u2019s stage show a total of 126 times.<\/p>\n
Continuing their theatrical tradition, the couple will visit the Palms at Crown Melbourne on Saturday, 22 May to watch the show for a 127th time.<\/p>\n
Mrs Storer said that watching the show almost every year is no pain in the neck.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe just love Dracula\u2019s,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause we\u2019ve been a lot of times, we know the shows. So, when the cast makes a little blooper, we all have a good laugh because we know what they\u2019ve done.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so exciting every time, it\u2019s wonderful to go and see.\u201d<\/p>\n
The couple were so entranced by their first viewing on 2 January 1999, that they went back to watch for the next three weeks.<\/p>\n
Having collected photos of every performance they\u2019ve visited, when the couple reached their 100th show, Mrs Storer presented the cast with a photo album collating all their viewings.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe cast loved it,\u201d Mrs Storer said. \u201cSome of the people in the photos weren\u2019t in the production anymore, so the cast got to have a little look through their own history.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dracula\u2019s also hosts a venue on the Gold Coast, which Mrs Storer once brought her granddaughter to so they could see the children-friendly show Drax4kids.<\/p>\n
Mrs Storer said this year\u2019s show will be rather different that the rest.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Dracula\u2019s venue in Melbourne closed in 2017, and we haven\u2019t seen the show since 2018,\u201d she said. \u201cSo not only do we have some kind of withdrawal symptoms, but it\u2019ll be like new to us, as it\u2019s in a new venue.\u201d<\/p>\n
The horror-comedy show first came to Melbourne in 1980 and has since provided 40 years of sultry entertainment.<\/p>\n
Running for 10 days from 20 May, the dinner-theatre performance will take place at The Palms at Crown Melbourne.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
