IF you tuned into breakfast TV bright and early in recent weeks, you might have seen a familiar face.<\/p>\n
Local businesswoman Corinna Preston spoke on Channel Seven\u2019s Sunrise program via Zoom, showcasing her brand No Fight Tights within weather presenter Sam Mac\u2019s Plugapalooza segment which promotes small Australian businesses.<\/p>\n
One minute was dedicated to the Ballarat-born tights which have a Lycra-elastane stretch top, like bike shorts, and a traditional cotton elastane leg and aim to be practical, comfortable, and a compliant alternative to traditional school and work tights, without the itch or sag.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn that day, we sold 27 pairs straight away. We were on the very early timeslot, so not as many people were able to see it, but it was still so positive for us, reaching New South Wales and Queensland, as we saw in our sales,\u201d Ms Preston said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was great to reach beyond Ballarat. Hopefully those people share them with their friends.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeven were great, especially Sam Mac\u2019s producer who spoke to us beforehand and made us feel comfortable. Sunrise are holding our details on their website, so the exposure is awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n
Launching the children\u2019s sizes of No Fight Tights in May, Ms Preston has since perfected and released her women\u2019s sizes which she is \u201crapt\u201d with.<\/p>\n
She has held pop-up stalls and gained hundreds more social media followers.<\/p>\n
Currently in discussions with local shops, Ms Preston has a goal to secure more Ballarat stockists. She is also striving to support a wider market, having received helpful feedback.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do have bigger sizes in our range, but we\u2019ve had requests to go up to size 22, so that\u2019s something we\u2019d like to achieve down the track,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything is looking positive ahead of next winter. We\u2019ll have 12 different sizes available from the word go.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
