It has been a crazy journey to get back here after being in the league when I was 18, and I couldn\u2019t be happier to sign with Tassie,\u201d Kenyon said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_77793\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-77793\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-77793\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2021\/08\/053-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-77793\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Matt Kenyon in action at a Miners home game.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cScott Roth [JackJumpers\u2019 coach] called me&#8230; in the free-agency period and said I was on his radar, and he was going to keep watching my NBL1 games, so I was always speaking to Tassie; they showed some interest early.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A 196-centimetre-tall shooting guard, Kenyon said the stop-start COVID-impacted competition has been challenging, but he has enjoyed his time with Ballarat Basketball, following a stint of college basketball in the United States with UC Riverside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the group we have here, and it\u2019s been a lot of fun learning from Brendan Joyce,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Perry, who played NCAA with Saint Mary&#8217;s College out of Moraga, California, said Joyce also \u201cpushed\u201d him to improve and reach his goal of joining the NBL.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve loved my time in Ballarat.
