{"id":77881,"date":"2021-09-06T04:56:58","date_gmt":"2021-09-05T18:56:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=77881"},"modified":"2021-08-31T14:39:26","modified_gmt":"2021-08-31T04:39:26","slug":"ladderframe-theatre-cuppa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/ladderframe-theatre-cuppa\/","title":{"rendered":"Theatre Co offers audience a Cuppa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LADDERFRAME Theatre Collective will stage their original play <em>Cuppa? <\/em>over three November nights at the Ballaarat Mechanics\u2019 Institute.<\/p>\n<p>President and founder Chiara Angeli said the piece is eclectic and unusual, not only featuring a small cast of local young emerging talent and original music, but plenty of abstract theatre, lights and sounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the story of two households; one a younger share house, and the other a family house, and how those intimate personal stories span over a year and a half,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started this project around May, wanting to put together an original piece, and have all members of the cast participate in the writing, as well as the performing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe held workshops, writing different scenes and monologues, and a story came out which we\u2019ve pieced together into a full-length play.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_77883\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-77883\" style=\"width: 212px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-77883\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2021\/08\/Cuppa-poster-212x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-77883\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cuppa? has been written by its cast within the last few months. Image: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ensemble member Jack Gillard has written a \u201cbeautiful\u201d score for the show. A piano will be played on-stage to \u201ctie everything together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Part of LadderFrame\u2019s mission is to collaborate with local businesses forge a mutual support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe more we can do for people that are eager to support the arts is important, as businesses have seen lots of struggle and strife in the last 18 months,\u201d Ms Angeli said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are encouraging people to get their tickets now.
