BERRINGA copywriter Sarah Walkerden has been named a finalist across varying national business awards in 2021.<\/p>\n
Operating as The Rural Copywriter, Ms Walkerden has been nominated for her marketing services in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards, for her service in the AusMumpreneur Awards, and for a Weekly Times<\/em> and Harvey Norman Shine Award.<\/p>\n She is also a nominee in the best blogger, writer, or author, best B2B Business, best regional and rural business, and service business of the year categories of the Roar Awards.<\/p>\n Ms Walkderden said she is proud and grateful to be acknowledged, considering the pandemic\u2019s impact on businesses and the economy in the last 18 months.<\/p>\n \u201cBalancing two young kids with home-schooling, with my husband, while running three businesses between us, and managing our property and horses, has not been easy this year,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been a real juggling act and a bit of a hard slog. We can operate our businesses remotely from home, but we\u2019ve still lost clients who have had to close.<\/p>\n \u201cOur young kids have also been struggling emotionally…with the lockdowns. It\u2019s not always easy to remain positive, but my husband and I put a real emphasis on making the most of what we can do, rather than dwelling on what we can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n Ms Walkerden said the positive boost of awards recognition also helps her to connect with the business community more broadly, and form new relationships.<\/p>\n \u201cBeing recognised as a finalist across all these different awards has certainly helped to brighten up a tough year and encouraged us to keep on going, no matter what.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s nice to have the connection to other business owners and feel like we\u2019re still a part of something bigger,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe do our best to support our small business clients with enthusiasm and understanding, and are always here to help with not just their online marketing strategies and ideas to pivot their business models, but also a friendly and encouraging ear.\u201d<\/p>\n Ms Walkerden is up for a Roar Award alongside her husband Toby Billing of Billing Metals and Manufacturing, who is a finalist in the e-commerce business of the year category.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" BERRINGA copywriter Sarah Walkerden has been named a finalist across varying national business awards in 2021.
