{"id":78174,"date":"2021-09-19T04:57:44","date_gmt":"2021-09-18T18:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=78174"},"modified":"2021-09-14T16:12:03","modified_gmt":"2021-09-14T06:12:03","slug":"artbrush-calendar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/artbrush-calendar\/","title":{"rendered":"Calendar a brush with botanicals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ERIN Robinson has always enjoyed making and creating.<\/p>\n<p>While a stay-at-home mum, she got back into painting, and loved experimenting with watercolours and acrylics so much that she started her own enterprise and built her own home studio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArtbrush is my business, and my outlet, where I sell all of my art, prints, homewares, and cards of all of my designs,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve had Artbrush for four years, and every year I\u2019ve done a calendar, choosing a different theme.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A fan of Australiana, Robinson has released her vibrant 2022 calendar, full of native plants and \u201csubtle\u201d insects.<\/p>\n<p>Following a difficult year for everyone, she started this <em>Australia in Bloom<\/em> project in May, wanting to offer a \u201chappy, light, colourful\u201d product.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Australian native botanicals really bring out all of that colour. I wanted to have a variety of colours to appeal to a lot of people, so I\u2019ve chosen flowers that have very different structures,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to have interesting aspects on each page, and for them to be different colours and shapes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t done many botanicals before, and I try to choose a theme I haven\u2019t done because people come back to buy them each year. I love the whole process of painting a new series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Artbrush calendars are available at <strong>artbrushbyerin.com<\/strong>, and are locally stocked by Hattie and the Wolf, and Mia and Talbot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ballarat small business and arts communities work together so well to support each other.
