{"id":78187,"date":"2021-09-19T04:56:17","date_gmt":"2021-09-18T18:56:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=78187"},"modified":"2021-09-19T16:36:01","modified_gmt":"2021-09-19T06:36:01","slug":"headspace-nature-photography","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/headspace-nature-photography\/","title":{"rendered":"Photography takes youth back to nature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HEADSPACE Ballarat\u2019s youth Mental Wellbeing in Nature Photography Competition has returned for a second year.<\/p>\n<p>Centre manager Janelle Johnson said aspiring photographers between 12 and 25 years old are encouraged to get mindfully snapping in their favourite happy places and natural spaces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis time we would like to focus on young people&#8230;submitting a photo that shows how they connect to nature, or the natural places around Ballarat that have a positive impact on their mental health,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven during lockdown and limits on how far you can travel from your home, it is important for young people to get out into their natural world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 12 winning entries will be published in the 2022 Wellbeing in Nature calendar. There is also a $100 gift certificate for the best photo submitted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Photos need to be in landscape format, and can be sent to <strong>info@headspaceballarat.or.au<\/strong>, along with the artist\u2019s name, age, contact number and email, and the location of the image.<\/p>\n<p>Entries close Friday, 29 October at 5pm.
