TIM Watson and Garry Lyon have forecast significant changes at Geelong this off-season.<\/p>\n

Assistant coaches Corey Enright and Matthew Knights departed the Cats to St Kilda and West Coast respectively, while Matthew Scarlett also exited the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they\u2019ll have to rebuild their whole coaching department if that\u2019s the case,\u201d Watson told SEN Breakfast<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are probably talking to people now if that\u2019s the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cA major reset, I\u2019m thinking they\u2019re looking at Chris Scott and asking, \u2018are you up for a rebuild?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Lyon added: \u201cI think there\u2019s going to be a big reset.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ageing Cats recently lost their fifth preliminary final since 2013 under coach Chris Scott.<\/p>\n

Lyon believes the acquisition of Steve Hocking as the CEO could see a dramatic change within the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cSteve Hocking is putting his eyes over that whole organisation from top to bottom,\u201d Lyon said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the whole football club is going to get a very thorough Steve Hocking makeover.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scott has coached Geelong for 11 years, with 10 of his players aged 30 or over on the 2021 playing list.<\/p>\n

He comes out contract next year.<\/p>\n
