{"id":78645,"date":"2021-10-13T04:55:34","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T17:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/?p=78645"},"modified":"2021-10-12T15:16:56","modified_gmt":"2021-10-12T04:16:56","slug":"strengthening-family-relationships-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/news\/strengthening-family-relationships-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"Fathers invited to family forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BALLARAT Community Health will facilitate a family-focussed workshop for fathers from diverse multicultural backgrounds this weekend, in partnership with Community Abundance.<\/p>\n<p>The Strengthening Family Relationships Forum will be held virtually on Saturday, 16 October from 6pm to 8pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe workshop&#8230; will discuss how we can maintain safe, harmonious families in a new country, while still respecting culture and tradition,\u201d a Ballarat Community Health spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers include RMIT University\u2019s Associate Professor Bawa Kuyini, Community Abundance\u2019s Deng Kor, Victoria Police detective senior sergeants Tony Coxall and Todd Sparkman, and The Orange Door Central Highlands\u2019 Marg Murphy and Mandy Gambino.<\/p>\n<p>The session will run via zoom.
