We can service all brands of bikes. From basic servicing to fixing broken parts, you name it, we can help out,\u201d Mr Johnston said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA big part of our background has been preparing race bikes and supporting tonnes of kids in Ballarat for years.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_78988\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-78988\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-78988\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2021\/11\/IMG_3870-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-78988\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dynamite Cycles sell Spanish brand Orbea, and can brew up a cuppa for customers in their cafe space.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re one of the main sponsors and supporters of the race scene in town, through clubs, in road cycling, mountain biking or BMX. We invest heavily into people actually riding their bikes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now Dynamite Cycles is based in a former food store, the couple have kept the cafe, and repurposed part of the old kitchen to create more product display space.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a prime location, and has been a coffee shop for decades. That fits our goal to be a premium bike store where people can chill out, talk bikes and relax,\u201d Mr Johnston said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re a bike shop with a small cafe in it, rather than a cafe with a bike shop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both passionate cyclists who have spent most of their working lives in the bike game, Mr and Mrs Johnston invite anyone to simply drop in and ask basic questions if they\u2019re at all curious about returning to cycling, or trying the sport for the first time.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_78989\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-78989\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-78989\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/goldenplains\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2021\/11\/IMG_3879-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-78989\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The shop\u2019s range also includes electric bicycles.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe like people to come in and just ask. They don\u2019t have to buy a bike through us, but we\u2019re happy for them to ask the questions; how do I get started? Who do I ride with?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love the people in the sport, and we love helping them to kick-start their journey. We\u2019re happy to just talk bikes; the selling part is secondary,\u201d Mr Johnston said.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamite Cycles are looking to launch Friday evening social rides, and more workshops for young riders with professional goals.
