Well, soon there\u2019s going to be more to see.<\/p>\n<p>The small town of Rochester, Victoria has announced that international artist D\u2019vate will paint a third silo in the town starting mid-November.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019vate is the artist who in 2018 turned unused GrainCorp silos into a tourist attraction in the middle of Rochester on the Northern Highway.<\/p>\n<p>Rochester is 25 minutes south of Echuca and 45 minutes north of Bendigo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a must to see D\u2019vate in action! Watching silos get painted is something to be seen,\u201d said Kate Taylor, local Rochester resident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpending the time to see him in action as well as visit the local cafes and retail shops, the Rochester Sports Museum and the murals throughout town is a wonderful experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_80621\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-80621\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-80621\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/ballarat\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/11\/IMG_9996-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-80621\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Internationally renowned artist D\u2019vate will return to complete a third major work.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Owners of the silos, GrainCorp, are a major supporter of the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrainCorp is proud to work with communities to grow the Australian Silo Art Trail, and the mural at Rochester brings a lot of joy to locals and tourists alike,\u201d said Jess Simons, manager of corporate affairs at GrainCorp.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can&#8217;t wait to see the new addition to the silos and encourage everyone to hit the road when possible, to get out and support our rural communities over summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This Murray\u2013Darling Basin Economic Development Program project received funding from the Australian Government.<\/p>\n<p>The local community has raised the remainder of the funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe existing silo art in Rochester is just stunning, so I\u2019m absolutely thrilled a third silo will feature art from D\u2019Vate,\u201d said Damian Drum, Federal MP for Nicholls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSilo art has proven to be a winner in drawing visitors to regional destinations, including many in the Goulburn Valley, and as we emerge from COVID lockdowns, this project will be a much-needed boost for local businesses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongratulations to everyone involved in making this project a reality \u2013 I can\u2019t wait to get over to see the finished product for myself!\u201d said Mr Drum.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong><em>-SPONSORED CONTENT<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHO has seen the squirrel glider and the azure kingfisher in Rochester?
