Gregory Michael Karslake.<\/p>\n

What is your occupation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former photographer – now unemployed.<\/p>\n

What brought you to Ballarat? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Birth \u2013 I was born here in 1974.<\/p>\n

What is your best decision – ever?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marrying my lovely wife, Kelly.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What do you like to cook? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hot chips, which stems from my grandmother. She had a woodstove and she cooked them in butter. They were perfection.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is your favourite smell?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have two. The Australian bush which is the smell of nature, and a sense of freedom. And asphalt when it has been hit by rain in the hot weather, it is a sense of relief that we have coolness.<\/p>\n

What is the most expensive thing you\u2019ve purchased \u2013 property aside?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kelly\u2019s car – a 2001 Subaru Forrester.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is your most treasured possession?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vinyl records which I have bought over the years. A big variety starting with Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and Pearl Jam.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you could ask your pet one question, what would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you speak English? If they don\u2019t speak English there is no point in continuing the conversation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What would you change if you could edit your past?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would move to another country with the current situation we are in.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is your favourite holiday destination?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fiji. We\u2019ve been there three times. It\u2019s where Kelly and I were married. Our two girls loved it when we took them there.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What music and television do you like?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lots of different music. Currently, I am on healing music. I went through a soul stage six-months ago; and more recently, a band called Lead Belly.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is your favourite word?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grouse!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What person – living or dead would invite to dinner party?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My Dad – he died in 2009. He was only 55. Too young to die.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What technological\/scientific development boggles your mind?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quantum computing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What qualities do you admire in other people?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My wife and my daughters putting-up with my nonsense.<\/p>\n

What was your first job?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Medicine delivery boy for a local chemist. It was fascinating, and I met so many interesting people.<\/p>\n

What did you want to be when you were growing up?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A truck driver. I wanted to follow in my uncle\u2019s footsteps, but I couldn\u2019t – I can\u2019t seen out of one eye. In secondary school I wanted to be an architect.<\/p>\n

What scares you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My two daughters – Poppy and Milly – turning into teenagers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What would you change about yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wish I could take stress out of my life. It gets worse as I get older. I would try and find a career which is not stressful. It has made me very anxious. I wish I could enjoy the moment more.<\/p>\n

I wouldn\u2019t have gone to an all-boys\u2019 school, and then having girls in class for the final two-years was a terrible distraction. Boys and their hormones!<\/p>\n

What do you wish someone had told you when you were starting out?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Buy property!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is the best parenting advice you could give?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you drop them, don\u2019t worry about it as they bounce.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What phase did you go through in high school?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The grunge movement<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is something about you which is still the same as when you were a child?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My maturity level.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What would you do if you could live anywhere in the world and not have to work for money?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would like to be dispensing the drunks in a fantastic beach bar. It\u2019s about building relationships.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What about being an only child?<\/strong><\/p>\n
